Guided walking tour of historic Stellenbosch
Delegates & Accompanying Persons: R150.00
Walking is still the best way to explore and to soak up the beauty and see the historical buildings and many attractions of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa (after Cape Town). Should you join this tour you will be met by your tour guide at Stias (the conference venue).
On the tour you will explore the Eikestad (the “village of the oaks”, as Stellenbosch is otherwise known) with its shady oak avenues bordered by the water furrows of the Mill Stream. Admire the charm and harmony of the Cape Dutch Architecture and listen to tales about its colorful inhabitants of the past three centuries.

Villiera wine tasting, cellar tour & game drive
Delegates & Accompanying Persons: R450.00
Being in the heart of the South African Winelands gives you a perfect opportunity to visit one of our esteemed wine farms and learn more about wines and winemaking. But Villiera offers an additional treat: the chance to go on a game drive through their wildlife sanctuary in typical safari style! Should you join this tour you be transported to Villiera from the conference venue by bus, and will returned again after the tour. Highlights of the tour include:
The tasting includes Villiera’s award winning MCC (Méthode Cap Classique), the local bubbly. The highly acclaimed range includes a non-vintage Tradition Brut and Tradition Rosé Brut, a premium (highly awarded) Villiera Monro Brut, an additive free Villiera Brut Natural and a low alcohol Starlight Brut. Villiera’s white wines are renowned for their distinct fruitiness and ultimate drinkability, while simultaneously offering a great value proposition with a strong focus on Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc. Villiera’s red predominant varieties are Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The guided cellar tour will showcase the inner workings of the farm.
In conjunction with two neighbours (The Cape Garden Centre and Wild Clover Farm), Villiera set aside 220ha of land as a wildlife sanctuary in 2009. The Wildlife Sanctuary of 220 hectares is situated in Koelenhof and access is gained through Villiera’s vineyards. Visitors are guaranteed fantastic sightings of a diverse population of antelope (including Springbuck, Kudu, Bontebok, Eland, Gemsbok, Black Wildebeest, common Duiker, Steenbuck and Grysbok), as well as Zebra, Giraffe and a huge variety of birdlife. This is complimented by a beautiful panoramic view of the mountains overlooking the Cape Peninsula.
